Rose Quartz Yoni Egg

A yoni egg is a smooth, egg-shaped stone designed to be held inside the vagina. Rose quartz is the most popular stone, for its soft pink colour and its association with love; nephrite jade gave the practice its other name, the jade egg. Our yoni egg set includes rose quartz, jade, white crystal and obsidian, drilled at the narrow end so a string can be threaded through, and sold in a gift box.

Jade vs rose quartz yoni egg

Nephrite jade is dense and slightly heavier; rose quartz is a little lighter and more translucent. Both are natural stones with a smooth polish. The choice is mostly about colour and what the stone means to you.

How to Use a Yoni Egg Safely

Start with the largest egg, always with a string attached so it can be removed easily, and only for short periods at first. Use it lying down or sitting, never while sleeping. Do not use a yoni egg during pregnancy, with an infection, after recent surgery or childbirth, or with an IUD without asking your doctor. If you have pain, bleeding or any pelvic condition, stop and see a professional.

How to clean a rose quartz yoni egg

Natural stone is slightly porous. Wash the egg with warm water and a mild, unscented soap before and after every use, rinse well and let it air-dry completely, string removed. Never boil quartz: sudden heat can crack it. Store each egg in its own pouch and replace the string regularly.

Yoni Egg Benefits: What They Can and Cannot Do

Many people use yoni eggs as a personal ritual, for body awareness or as a gentle way to notice the pelvic floor muscles. That is a perfectly good reason to own one. What they are not is a medical treatment: there is no solid scientific evidence that yoni eggs tone the pelvic floor better than ordinary pelvic floor exercises, balance hormones or cure anything. For incontinence, prolapse or postpartum recovery, a pelvic floor physiotherapist is the right first step.
